Playing the game is quite easy and should be self-explained. Just in case, here's everything to know about it.

Gameplay
After you have collect all pixels (the square blinking objects), you go to the exit to get to the next level. If you haven't collected all pixels, the exit is red. It will change to green if you have enough pixels to advance to the next level.
You generally don't have to kill the monsters, but sometimes you need to kill them to get to the pixels. Of course, killing monsters also helps your score.
You can kill monsters by jumping on them. Beware: monsters can kill you if you just run into them. Different monsters have different speed and abilities, so be careful if you encounter a new monster you haven't seen before.
Sometimes you also have to use "actions" - e.g. hitting the action key while standing in front of an object - like handling a switch to open a door.
Movement modes
In general, you are in the standard "gravity mode" but in special cases you will also experience the "Free Movement" mode where you can move without the obstacle of gravity. A Special submode also exists that stops you controlling up/down movement alltogether while giving you full controll over left/right movement.
Controlling the game
You can either play with the keyboard or a joystick. Some action currently can only be achieved by keyboard (sorry for that).
Keyboard
LEFT/RIGHT ... Move left or right. You can even change direction while in the air.
UP ... Jump (Free Movement: Move up)
DOWN ... Only in Free Movement mode: Move down
SPACE ... Action key (for example "use switch"). Also quits movies.
+ ... Turbo-Mode - lets the time pass 4 times faster - Usefull if u have to wait for monsters to be in best position to kill them.
ESC ... boss key; e.g. quits lost pixels as fast as possible
TAB ... start cheat code entry; see bellow
ENTER ... toggle bg-music
q ... quits game to menu
f ... toggles windowed- / fullscreen-mode
Joystick
LEFT/RIGHT ... Move left or right. You can even change direction while in the air.
UP/DOWN ... Move up/down in "Free Movement" mode
KEY 1 ... Jump
KEY 3 ... Action key
KEY 8 ... Turbo-Mode
Cheat codes
To enter a cheat code, press TAB, type the cheat code and press ENTER.
There are currently some cheat codes for testing purposes:
- timebonus ... adds some time
- nuke ... kills all monsters and adds them to your score
- quit ... Does the same as pressing ESC
- skip ... skips to the next level
- goto X ... jumps to Level X
- lives ... Sets lives to 99
- die ... Completly kills all your remaining lives
- coords ... Display player coordinates
- freemode ... Free Movement mode (no gravity)
- godmode ... unkillable
- edit ... Combo-Cheat useful for editing/testing levels
